5/8/2013 Percy Priest Today I fished with Bill Dunn if Brentwood, California. We were met with a beautiful day with light winds. We caught 30 crappie with 15 nice keepers. The fish were caught on blade rigs tipped with a minnow; also we used 1/8 oz. jig with a 2 inch Southern Pro hot grub with a crappie nibble on the hook point. Fish were caught 15 to 23 feet deep. Bill, I enjoyed our trip today and hope to see you this fall at Normandy.
5/2/2013 Percy Priest Today I fished with Jae Waters of Brentwood, Tennessee and his father, Jim Waters. We had a nice May morning but an approaching storm front and heavy lake draw down had the fish buried in the cover. We managed to catch 25 crappie with 13 nice keepers. The fish were caught 12 to 22 feet deep, on blade rigs tipped with a minnow. Guys, I had a fun day fishing with you. See you at Normandy this fall!
4/28/2013 Percy Priest Today I fished with Ariel Campbell and her dad, David of Old Hickory, Tn. We had cloudy and frontal conditions with the lake having a five foot rise after heavy rains. We managed to catch 29 crappie with 18 nice keepers. The fish were caught 8 to 12 feet deep on blade rigs tipped with a minnow. I had a good time fishing with you today. Hope to see you soon.
4/26/2013 Percy Priest Today I fished with Tim Smith, Troy Klaphake, Scott Hale, and Craig Phillips. We had a cool, crisp morning with northeast winds. We managed to catch 67 crappie with 31 keepers. The big fish were caught 5 to 12 feet deep on blade rigs tipped with a minnow. Guys, I enjoyed our trip today. Hope to see you this fall for a blacknose crappie trip to Normandy Lake.
4/22/2013 Percy Priest Today I fished with Carlin and John Woods of Mt. Juliet and Carlin's father, Chris Berry. We had a cool, crisp foggy morning with light southeast winds. We caught 63 crappie with 33 nice keepers topped by two over 15 inch white crappie. The fish were caught 5 to 12 feet deep on blade rigs tipped with a minnow. I had a fun time teaching you my "power corking" technique. Looking forward to seeing you again this summer.
4/16/2013 Percy Priest Today I fished with Russ Rayburn of Nashville, Tennessee. We had a warm, overcast day with south to southeast winds. We caught 50 crappie with 30 very nice keepers. The fish were caught 3 to 12 feet deep on minnows and blade rigs. Glad you enjoyed my Power Corking" technique and look forward to seeing you in May.
4/15/2013 Percy Priest Today I fished with Mitch Drew of Smyrna, Tennessee, and his father, Nelce Drew of Kentucky. We had a beautiful day. The spawn is on and the fish are ready to bite. We caught 120 crappie with 49 nice keepers, caught 4 to 12 feet deep on minnows and blade rigs, tipped with a medium tuffy minnow. Guys, enjoyed the trip today. 4/13/2013 Percy Priest Today I fished with Jason Barnes of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. We had a beautiful day. We caught 110 crappie with 55 slabs topped by a 15 inch black and a 15 inch white, keeping the best 30. The fish were caught 8 to 12 feet deep on blade rigs tipped with a minnow. The action was fast and furious. Enjoyed our trip today; see you next time.
4/6/2013 Percy Priest Today I fished with Jason Barnes of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. We had a nice warm day with south to southwest winds. We caught 35 fish with 22 slabs topped by a 15 1/4 inch crappie. The fish were caught 8 to 20 feet on blade rigs tipped with a minnow. It was a lot of fun fishing with you today; hope you learned some new spots.

Today I fished with Francis Gresham and daughter Jennifer Goostree of Cross Plains, Tennessee. We had a cool, foggy morning with light north to northeast winds. We managed to catch 21 crappie with 14 nice keepers topped by a 15 1/4" white crappie. The fish were caught 18 to 20 feet deep on blade rigs tipped with a minnow. I enjoyed our trip and look forward to seeing you in a few weeks for the spring spawn bite.
3/24/2013 Percy Priest Today I fished with Clifton Morrell of Lucasville, Ohio and his father Richard Morrell of Knoxville, Tennessee. We had calm, foggy conditions before the strong cold front came this afternoon. We managed to catch 23 fish with 13 nice keepers. The fish were caught 8 to 20 feet deep on a blade rig tipped with a minnow. I enjoyed the fishing trip today despite the weather conditions. Hope to see you this fall for a blacknose crappie trip to Normandy.
3/20/2013 Percy Priest Today I fished with Aaron Disney of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. We started out with nice calm weather and a steady bite. Midway through the morning we had a cold front with strong northwest winds which slowed the bite. We managed to catch 12 crappie with 5 nice keepers. The fish were caught 4 to 20 feet deep on blade rigs tipped with a minnow. I enjoyed showing you my "power corking" technique and look forward to taking you on another trip when the shallow bite is on.
3/17/2013 Percy Priest Today I fished with J. R. Vaughn and son Zack and friend Nikki McHolland of Bon Aqua, Tennessee. We had a cool morning with north to northeast winds. We managed to catch 34 crappie and 17 really nice keepers topped by a 15" white crappie. The fish were caught 3 to 20 feet deep on blade rigs tipped with a minnow. I enjoyed seeing you catch those big slabs.

3/10/2013 Percy Priest Today I fished with Jeff Moss and his son Blake of Hermitage, Tennessee. We had high southwest winds and frontal conditions. We managed to catch 13 crappie with 5 nice keepers. 3/9/2013 Percy Priest Today I fished with Francis Gresham and son-in-law, Adam. We were met with milder weather and light south winds. We managed to catch 55 crappie with 24 nice keepers. The fish were caught on blade rigs tipped with a medium tuffy minnow, 9 to 12 feet deep. Guys, I had a good time fishing

3/7/2013 Percy Priest For three days I fished with Ronni and Sal Giambnore of Holbrook, New York. We faced cold front rainy conditions with high north and northeast winds. Despite the cold front conditions, we managed to catch 62 fish with 26 keepers. The fish were caught on blade rigs from 7 to 18 feet on the river channel. I enjoyed taking you on your first fresh water fishing experience. Your stories of your fluke fishing trips at sea were exciting. Looking forward to seeing you again when the weather is warmer.
1/26/2013 Percy Priest Today I fished with J. R. Vaughn of Bon Aqua, TN and his
friend Nikki McHolland from Almaaville area. We were met with a cool foggy morning with almost no wind. The bite was consistant all morning. As the sun came out and the cloud cover lifted, the bite slowed but we still managed
to catch 69 crappie with 37 nice keepers. The fish were caught on a blade rig with a tuffy minnow, 12 feet deep. I enjoyed fishing with you today and hope to see you this spring for the spawn bite.
12/29/2012 Percy Priest Today I fished with Alisa and Daryl Guffey of Mt. Juliet,
TN. We were met with sleet and snow conditions. We had
a slow morning bite and managed to catch 16 crappie with 11 nice keepers. They were caught 9 to 12 feet deep on blade rigs with a tuffy minnow. I had fun fishing with you today and look forward to fishing with you in warmer conditions.
12/3/2012 Percy Priest Today I fished with Larry Fish from Brentwood. We had south winds with unusually warm temperatures. We had a
steady early morning bite. We caught 18 crappie with 12
nice keepers. The fish were caught 12 to 20 feet deep,
over submergedtimber. The fish were caught on blade rigs tipped with a minnow. Larry, I enjoyed fishing with you

11/2/2012 Normandy Today I fished with Judy and Lonny Hazelwood of Franklin,
Tennessee. We were faced with light north winds and an unusually slow morning bite. A light west wind and a change of location helped increase the bite. We managed to catch 14 nice keepers topped by a 16 1/4 inch blacknose.
The fish were caught 12 to 15 feet deep on minnow rigs. I enjoyed this second trip and was impressed by the three biggest ones.
11/1/2012 Normandy Today I fished with Bill Dunn of Brentwood, California. We had a frosty, foggy morning with light north winds. We
had a very good, consistent early morning bite. We managed to catch 18 nice keepers. The fish were caught 6 1/2 to 14 feet deep on minnow rigs with a tuffy minnow.

10/26/2012 Normandy Today I fished with Brent Cartee and Archie Miller of Williamson County. We had light north winds and cloud cover. We had a fast early morning bite and a steady
afternoon bite. We caught a total of l8 very nice keepers,
topped by a 2 pound 5 ounce monster blacknose. The fish were caught 6 1/2 to 15 feet deep on minnow rigs with a tuffy minnow. Guys, I had a fun day fishing with you.

10/24/2012 Normandy Today I fished with Richard Banks of Cleveland, Tennessee. We were met with a cool northeast wind and
clear blue sky conditions. The fish bit early and slowed
through the morning. The bite picked up after the winds
started blowing from the south. We managed to catch 8 nice keepers on minnow rigs. The fish were caught 6 1/2
to 15 feet deep. Richard, I had a fun day fishing with
you and getting to see your former cabin in Riley Creek.

10/22/2012 Normandy Today I fished with Bill Stidham and Jerry Patterson of
Nashville, Tennessee. We were met with light and variable
winds and some low clouds. The early morning bite was
fast producing most of the day's catch. We caught the fish
6 to 13 feet deep on minnow rigs. We managed to catch 5
nice keepers. The bite slowed as the wind increased, con-
sistently blowing from the east. I ejoyed fishing with
you today even though we didn't break last year's record.
10/20/2012 Normandy Today I fished with Charles Layhew and Billy Baines of
Walter Hill, TN. We had a cool morning with light west
winds. We had a strong early morning bite, then as the
winds picked up the bite slowed. The fish were caught 6 1/2 to 18 feet deep. We still managed to catch 15 nice keepers. Guys, enjoy your fish fry. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
10/19/2012 Normandy Today I fished with Lonny and Judy Hazelwood from Franklin, Tennessee. We were met with cool, clear skies
and southwest winds. We had a good early morning bite but by midmorning the wind was blowing 10 to 20 mph and slowed
the bite. We still managed to catch 13 nice keepers. The fish were caught 6 1/2 feet to 18 feet deep on minnow rigs. I enoyed fishing with you all today. Enjoy your fish fry.
10/13/2012 Normandy Today I fished with Marty Davis and his brother Kendle
from the Manchester, Tennessee area. We were met with 10 to 15 miles per hour south to southeasr winds. We had a steady early morning bite. By the end of the day, we'd caught 12 real nice blacknose keepers, topped by a 15 incher. The fish were caught 12 to 20 feet deep on
a minnow rig with a tuffy minnow. Guys, I had a fun day

10/8/2012 Normandy Today I fished with Mitch Drew of Smyrna, TN, and family members Grace Drew, Will Drew, and Josh Teague. We were
met with a milder morning temperaature and a light north
wind. We had a strong morning bite with a steady bite after lunch; we had a total of 30 keepers topped by Grace's 15 1/4" blacknose and Will's 14 1/2". The fish were caught 6 - l8 feet on minnow rigs. I enjoyed our day

10/7/2012 Normandy Today I fished with Mitch Drew of Smyrna and family members Josh Teague, Dennis Garren, and Lance White. We were met with a cold northwest wind blowing 10 - 15 miles per hour. Despite the tough weather conditions, we still managaed to catch 22 real nice keepers. The fish were caught 6 to 20 feet deep on minnow rigs. Guys, I enjoyed the day despite the chill. 9/13/2012 Normandy Today I fished with Jim Simpkins of Pulaski, Tennessee.
We met with a nice cool morning and southeast winds.
The bite was slower than usual and the lake had fallen another foot. We managed to catch three nice crappie topped by a 14 1/2" blacknose. The bite should pick up
in the next few days as we get cooler temperatures. Jim, I'm looking forward to our next trip and two limits.
8/20/2012 Normandy Today I fished with Jim Simkins of Pulaski, Tennessee. It was a foggy cool morning at Normandy Lake. The crappie
were fast biting and hard pulling. We caught 12 keepers

6/23/2012 Percy Priest Today I fished a second day with Ted and Donna Toms and her
parents Rheva and Verdean Mentzer from Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. We enjoyed a cool morning boat ride. We fought a northeast to east wind and still managed to catch 34 crappie with 12 nice keepers topped by Donna's 14 1/4"
white crappie. We caught the fish 6 to 13 feet on blade rigs with a minnow. I had a great time fishing with you all and hope you enjoyed your stay and have an opportunity to come back to enjoy the fall fishing.
6/22/2012 Percy Priest Today I fished with Ted and Donna Toms and her parents, Rheva and Verdean Mentzer from Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. It was a nice warm summer day and partly cloudy. We managed to catch 75 crappie with 17 nice keepers topped by
Donna's 13 1/2" white crappie. These were caught on blade rigs with a minnow, 5 to 11 feet deep. Enjoyed fishing with you and hope we'll catch some 14" ones tomorrow.
6/21/2012 Percy Priest Today I fished with Christie and Phil Saliba of Nashville, Tennessee. We had the first day of summer, the hottest day so far of 2012. We managed to catch 123 crappie with 31 keepers, topped by a 15 inch white crappie and a 14 1/2 black crappie. They were caught 5 to 11 feet deep on blade rigs with a minnow. 5/21/2012 Percy Priest Today, I fished with Danny Ladd of Rockvale, Tennessee. The weather was another great day for catching crappie. We had overcast skies for most of the day. We managed to
catch 110 crappie with 32 keepers, topped with a 15 inch white crappie. The fish were caught on blade rigs
with minnows, 3 to 12 feet deep. I hope you enjoyed learning some of my techniques and that they will help you catch more crappie with your family.
5/18/2012 Percy Priest Today I fished with Christie and Phil Saliba of Nashville, Tennessee. The weather was perfect for fishing. We caught 116 crappie with 26 keepers, topped by two 15 inchers, the largest
they'd caught on Priest. The fish were caught on blade rigs with

thunder storms. Happily, they went around us. We managed to catch 82 crappie with 32 nice keepers, topped by several 14 to 14 1/2 inch
crappie. The fish were caught on minnows on blade rigs 10 to 15

4/20/2012 Percy Priest Today I fished with David Goldner and his son Stephen. Hugh McNaughton of Southern Woods and Waters television program taped us for an upcoming segment of the show. We had frontal conditions with high steady winds, yet still managed to catch 40 crapie with 19 nice keepers. Fish are now in their post spawn time. Today we
used blade rigs and jigs from 7 to 26 feet. Guys, I enjoyed our trip today and look forward seeing you on the show.

mother Lila Rich of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. We had a nice

Hill, Tennessee. We had perfect spring weather with very
light winds. We caught 70 crappie with 20 nice keepers.

4/2/2012 Percy Priest Today I fished with Matt Nevison of Lansing, Michigan, and
his son Garrett of Columbia, Tennessee. We had a nice warm spring day with lake temperature of 76 degrees, the
warmest so far this spring. We managed to catch 117 crappie with 23 nice keepers. The fish were caught on
minnows and blade rigs, three to ten feet deep. Guys, I had fun fishing with you and it looked like you enjoyed my new technique. You're on the fall black nose crappie list.
3/28/2012 Percy Priest Today I fished with Phil Saliba of Nashville and his
friend Tim Warren of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. We had beautiful weather and hungry crappie. We caught 134 crappie and kept 44 nice keepers, topped by some 14" ones.

3/27/2012 Percy Priest Today I fished with Allen Wilson of Old Hickory,Tennessee, and friend Gary Becker of Tampa, Florida. We had a gorgeous day: light winds and hungry crappie. We caught 150 crappie of which 37 were keepers. The fish were caught on minnows three to eight feet deep. Guys, I

3/25/2012 Percy Priest Today, I fished with John Zobl of Hendersonville and his friend Ron Patterson from Center Hill Lake Area of Tennessee. We had a great day fishing with 100 crappie caught; they kept the 32 best ones. The fish were caught three to six feet deep on minnows and blade rigs. 3/24/2012 Percy Priest Today I fished with Anna 10, Owen 7, and Caroline Yates 5. We had a great morning in spite of threatening storms.
They caught 63 crappie with 12 keepers topped by a 14 1/2
inch white crappie. The fish were caught on minnows three
to six feet deep. This Spring Break fishing trip will be
one they'll remember for a while.
3/20/2012 Percy Priest Today I fished with Bill Stidhan and Jerry Patterson.
It was a great first day of Spring. The spawning bite is on! We caught 194 crappie and kept the best 59. The fish were caught 3 to 8 feet deep on minnows and blade rigs. Thanks guys for a great day. I'll see you later this spring.

2/25/2012 Percy Priest Today I fished with Darryl Bivens of Lyles, Tennessee. We started with cool conditions and strong winds. Using minnows and blade rigs, we caught 45 crappie with 8 very
nice keepers. The fish were caught seven to eighteen feet

2/4/2012 Percy Priest Today I fished with Darryl Bivens of Lyles, Tennessee. We faced rainy conditions and mild temperatures, and still managed to catch 55 crappie with 30 nice keepers. 12/19/2011 Percy Priest Today I fished with David Meredith of Smyrna and Michael Meredith of Arizona. We had a nice cool cloudy morning. We managed to catch 25 crappie with 18 nice keepers. 11/19/2011 Percy Priest Today I fished with Laura and Dennis Gupton of Clarksville, Tennessee. Despite strong winds, we had a nice fall day as it warmed. We caught 40 crappie with 13 keepers, topped by a 14 inch white crappie. The fish were
caught about 12 to 22 feet deep on minnows and blade rigs.

11/12/2011 Normandy Today I fished with Jerome and James Coles of Lexington, Kentucky. We had a cool, breezy early morning start. We had a steady bite all day and managed to catch 41 crappie with 21 nice keepers. The fish were caught ten to twenty feet deep on minnows. 11/8/2011 Normandy Today I fished with Lonny Hazelwood and Ronnie Maupin of Franklin, Tennessee. A southeast wind blowing ten to twenty miles per hour had the fish biting slowly. We still managed to catch 36 blacknose topped by a 2 pound 4 and 1/2 ounce 16 1/2 inch "monster". The crappie were caught ten to twenty-two feet deep on minnows. Guys, I enjoyed a fun day. 10/26/2011 Normandy Today I fished with William McKee, Jr. and Hugh McNaughten. We were taping an upcoming segment of Southern
Woods and Waters for TV. It was William's first fishing
trip ever. His first fish caught was a nice blacknose crappie. Today we had storm front conditions with ten to twenty m.p.h. winds. The bite was slow and light. We still managed to catch 8 keepers; William's largest being
14 inches. The fish were caught nine to twenty feet deep on minnows. Enjoyed fishing with you two today and hope
next trip the bite will be stronger.

with a slight mist. We had a steady bite all day long.
We caught 88 black nose crappie with 80 keepers and we

of Cullman, Alabama. This trip kicked off the Normandy crappie season. We caught 41 crappie with 35 keepers
topped by Matthew's one pound thirteen ounce and Rebecca's
one pound ten ounce black nose. The fish were caught 9-12
feet deep on minnows. I had a great time and look forward

7/2/2011 Percy Priest Today I fished with Jason Barnes of Mt.Juliet. We had a
great summer morning. Crappie were caught eleven to fifteen feet deep on minnows. We caught fifty crappie with
twelve keepers topped by a 15 inch white crappie. We had a very nice time. I'll be looking forward to seeing you later this year for a black nose crappie trip to Normandy
Lake.
6/29/2011 Percy Priest Today I fished with Hope, Lyman, Ryan and Jack Hines. Because of the downpour, we had a late start and fished
for less than two hours. We were shooting a video for
Southern Woods and Waters television show. Jack won big
fish prize with a twelve and one-half inch crappie. Hope to
have the picture later. Mid-afternoon we were out again with Hugh and Joy McNaughton and Lawson and Ty Campbell and
finished the video. We managed to catch ninety-five crappie with 37 nice keepers. They were biting from seven to twelve feet on minnows. It was a great day
in spite of the rain. It's fun to see the kids catch a lot. This fall, let's go for Normandy black nose crappie.
6/27/2011 Percy Priest Today I fished with Phil and Christie Saliba of Nashville,
Tennessee. It was a beautiful summer day. We caught
114 crappie with 32 keepers. All were caught on minnows seven to twelve feet deep. This was the most crappie Christie had ever caught. Phil took big fish

5/20/2011 Percy Priest Today I fished with Wayne Rector, Jim Beuerlein, Scott Farrar, and Bronson Lankford from the Nashville area. We had wonderful weather and the lake was a foot over summer pool. We managed to catch thirty-one crappie and kept thirteen nice crappie topped by Wayne's thirteen and 3/4 inch white crappie. Scott managed to catch all three species of crappie. 9/10/2010 Percy Priest Today I fished with Herb Rhodes of Anaheim, California. He caught all three species of crappie. He
also had fun using some of the finesse tactics that are
used in California. It was his first time to use the multi-pole technique. Using minnows and jigs at a depth of ten to twenty feet, we had fifteen keepers out of a total of around forty. Herb, it was a fun day fishing in

9/1/2010 Normandy Today's trip started the fall blacknose crappie
season ar Normandy. I fished with my dad. We caught
35 blacknose and we kept 27. The two largest were two
pounds, one ounce and two pounds. They were caught on
minnows at nine to eighteen feet deep. Looks like this

Christie caught a l4 inch white crappie. The surprise of the day happened as Phil landed a large mouth bass between 4 1/2 to

The fish were caught at eighteen to twenty-two feet deep, using minnows. Priest Lake is eleven feet above summer pool. We had very unusual cool conditions after this major
