Fishing Reports!
2/4/2012 Percy Priest Today I fished with Darryl Bivens of Lyles, Tennessee. We faced rainy conditions and mild temperatures, and still managed to catch 55 crappie with 30 nice keepers. They were caught on minnows five to fifteen feet deep. Darryl, we had a great day crappie fishing. I'm looking forward to seeing you soon for some spring time slabs.
12/19/2011 Percy Priest Today I fished with David Meredith of Smyrna and Michael Meredith of Arizona. We had a nice cool cloudy morning. We managed to catch 25 crappie with 18 nice keepers. The fish were caught five to eighteen feet deep on minnows. Guys, I enjoyed fishing with you today. See you in 2012 for a Normandy blacknose crappie trip.
11/19/2011 Percy Priest Today I fished with Laura and Dennis Gupton of Clarksville, Tennessee. Despite strong winds, we had a nice fall day as it warmed. We caught 40 crappie with 13 keepers, topped by a 14 inch white crappie. The fish were
caught about 12 to 22 feet deep on minnows and blade rigs.
Enjoyed fishing with you all and hope these new structure locating techniques and rigging pointers will help increase
your crappie fishing success in the future.
11/12/2011 Normandy Today I fished with Jerome and James Coles of Lexington, Kentucky. We had a cool, breezy early morning start. We had a steady bite all day and managed to catch 41 crappie with 21 nice keepers. The fish were caught ten to twenty feet deep on minnows. Guys, I enjoyed catching those beautiful black nose crappie with you. Looking forward to seeing you all next spring.
11/8/2011 Normandy Today I fished with Lonny Hazelwood and Ronnie Maupin of Franklin, Tennessee. A southeast wind blowing ten to twenty miles per hour had the fish biting slowly. We still managed to catch 36 blacknose topped by a 2 pound 4 and 1/2 ounce 16 1/2 inch "monster". The crappie were caught ten to twenty-two feet deep on minnows. Guys, I enjoyed a fun day. Looking forward to fishing with you again.
11/6/2011 Normandy Today I fished with John Midgett of Lebanon, Tennessee. We faced windy conditions and a slow bite. We still managed to catch fifteen with ten nice keepers, topped by
a 15 inch blacknose crappie. The fish were caught nine to twenty feet deep on minnows. Enjoyed fishing with you

10/26/2011 Normandy Today I fished with William McKee, Jr. and Hugh McNaughten. We were taping an upcoming segment of Southern
Woods and Waters for TV. It was William's first fishing
trip ever. His first fish caught was a nice blacknose crappie. Today we had storm front conditions with ten to twenty m.p.h. winds. The bite was slow and light. We still managed to catch 8 keepers; William's largest being
14 inches. The fish were caught nine to twenty feet deep on minnows. Enjoyed fishing with you two today and hope
next trip the bite will be stronger.
10/25/2011 Normandy Today I fished with Jim Simpkins of Pulaski,Tennessee. We werre greeted with another cool,foggy fall morning that
turned into a beautiful day. We managed to catch 28 keepers topped by a 2 pound, 1 ounce black nose. The fish
were caught nine to eighteen feet deep on minnows. Jim, I
enjoyed another great day of black nose crappie fishing

10/23/2011 Normandy Today I fished with Todd Rigsby and son Connor. We were met this morning with heavy fog and a northeast wind. The bite was slow but steady. We managed to catch 43 crappie and kept the best seventeen. The fish were caught on monnows, nine to twenty feet deep. Guys, I enjoyed the fishing with you on such a beautiful fall day.
10/22/2011 Normandy Today I fished with Tom Rice of Nashville, Tennessee. The heavy fogg lingered, starting off another nice fall day.
We had a steady bite all day. We managed to catch 35 crappie and kept the best 30. The fish were caught nine to eighteen feet deep on minnows. Tom, I enjoyed fishing

10/21/2011 Normandy Today I fished with Waylen Stevens and Kevin Adair of Franklin, Tennessee. It was a cool, crisp foggy morning of a beautiful fall day. We made the most of a steady bite with 65 crappie caught,55 keepers; we kept the best 45. Big fish was a 16 inch black nose. The fish were caught nine to twenty feet deep on minnows. Guys, I had an enjoyable day and hope to see you soon.
10/17/2011 Normandy Today I fished with Jim Simpkins and his friend, Robert Russell of Pulaski, Tennessee. We had nice weather and the crappie were biting. We had 34 nice keepers, caught on minnows nine to eighteen feet deep. Guys, I had a great time fishing with you and will be looking forward to seeing you all next month.
10/12/2011 Normandy Today I fished with Bill Stidham and Jerry Patterson of Nashville, Tennessee. It was a foggy overcast morning
with a slight mist. We had a steady bite all day long.
We caught 88 black nose crappie with 80 keepers and we
kept the best 45. This is one of the best days so far of this fall. We caught the fish 9 to 20 feet deep on minnows. Guys it was a great fall day of fishing. Enjoy your fillets.
10/10/2011 Normandy Today I fished with Mike and Seth Dobbs of Pegram, Tennessee. We had gorgeous weather with a perfect
temperature. We caught thirty crappie with 28 keepers,
topped by one crappie over two pounds. The fish were caught nine to eighteen feet deep on minnows. Guys, I had
a fun day fishing with you and look forward to seeing you again.
10/8/2011 Normandy Today I fished with Troy and Seth Jackson of Franklin,
Tennessee. We had nice weather with a bit of East wind
and still managed to catch 37 keepers. The fish were
caught nine to eighteen feet deep on minnows. I had a
great time fishing with you two and will be looking forward
to another fun trip later this fall.
10/7/2011 Normandy Today I fished with Peyton and Keven Fox of Murfreesboro Tennessee. We had a great day of blacknose crappie fishing. We caught 36 keepers,topped by a 1 pound 15 oz and a 1 pound 13 oz. The fish were caught 9-16 feet deep on minnows. I had a fun day of fishing hope to see you soon.
10/5/2011 Normandy Today I fished with James Simpkins of Pulaski Tennessee. We had beautiful weather and a great day of fishing.We caught 39 Blacknose crappie and kept the 30 biggest. The fish were caught 9-18 feet deep on minnows.Hope to see you next week for another great day of fishing.
9/30/2011 Percy Priest Todat I fished with Kenney Vernon,Blain Nixon, Charles Stamps and Blaine Zeimen on Priest.We had cold front conditons and high winds and still caught 60 crappie with 17 keepers. The fish were caught on minnows 7-16 feet deep. Guys I had a great day and hope to see you next month on Normandy .
9/28/2011 Normandy Today I fished with Phil Saliba of Nashville, Tennessee. It was the most productive day of Blacknose crappie fishing on Normandy this fall. We caught 51 keepers and culled the best 30. Phil caught 3 crappie over 2 pounds. the fish were caught 12-20 feet deep on minnows. See you and your daughter Christie in October.
9/27/2011 Normandy Today I fished with Ken & Kenneth Sliger of Smyrna, Tennessee. We had greatt weather and a very nice cooler full 20 blacknose crappie.These fish were caught 9-14 feet deep on minnows. Guys I hope the tips and new spots will help your future trips to Normandy.
8/10/2011 Normandy Today I fished with Matthew Junkins and Rebecca Junkins
of Cullman, Alabama. This trip kicked off the Normandy crappie season. We caught 41 crappie with 35 keepers
topped by Matthew's one pound thirteen ounce and Rebecca's
one pound ten ounce black nose. The fish were caught 9-12
feet deep on minnows. I had a great time and look forward
to seeing you all later this season.
7/9/2011 Percy Priest Today I fished with Dennis Shipp and Jerry Patterson of Nashville, Tennessee. We had beautiful fishing weather. We caught 50 crappies with 27 nice keepers. These were
caught twelve to fifteen feet deep on minnows and jigs.
Guys, I'm looking forward to a fall trip with you to
Normandy.
7/2/2011 Percy Priest Today I fished with Jason Barnes of Mt.Juliet. We had a
great summer morning. Crappie were caught eleven to fifteen feet deep on minnows. We caught fifty crappie with
twelve keepers topped by a 15 inch white crappie. We had a very nice time. I'll be looking forward to seeing you later this year for a black nose crappie trip to Normandy
Lake.
6/29/2011 Percy Priest Today I fished with Hope, Lyman, Ryan and Jack Hines. Because of the downpour, we had a late start and fished
for less than two hours. We were shooting a video for
Southern Woods and Waters television show. Jack won big
fish prize with a twelve and one-half inch crappie. Hope to
have the picture later. Mid-afternoon we were out again with Hugh and Joy McNaughton and Lawson and Ty Campbell and
finished the video. We managed to catch ninety-five crappie with 37 nice keepers. They were biting from seven to twelve feet on minnows. It was a great day
in spite of the rain. It's fun to see the kids catch a lot. This fall, let's go for Normandy black nose crappie.
6/27/2011 Percy Priest Today I fished with Phil and Christie Saliba of Nashville,
Tennessee. It was a beautiful summer day. We caught
114 crappie with 32 keepers. All were caught on minnows seven to twelve feet deep. This was the most crappie Christie had ever caught. Phil took big fish
honors with a 14 3/4 inch white. See you later this summer.
6/5/2011 Percy Priest Today I fished with Keven Fox of Murfreesboro Tennessee. We caught 60 crappie with 25 keepers. We had five fish that were over 14 inches. They all were caught 8 to 14 feet deep on minnows and chrome blade rigs. The summer pattern is on!!
5/20/2011 Percy Priest Today I fished with Wayne Rector, Jim Beuerlein, Scott Farrar, and Bronson Lankford from the Nashville area. We had wonderful weather and the lake was a foot over summer pool. We managed to catch thirty-one crappie and kept thirteen nice crappie topped by Wayne's thirteen and 3/4 inch white crappie. Scott managed to catch all three species of crappie. I'm looking forward to seeing you this fall for a Normandy Lake black-nose crappie trip.
5/9/2011 Percy Priest Today I fished with Steven Hall of Nashville and his brother Jeff and sister-in-law, Mary from Minnesota. We were greeted with summertime temperatures and a falling lake level. The bite was very slow with ten crappie caught and three keepers. I had a fun time fishing with
you today and look forward to taking you out this summer.
5/5/2011 Percy Priest Today I fished with David and Matt Hayes and Nick Aliff from Ohio. We had beautiful weather even though the lake
was eleven one-half feet above summer pool. We caught
sixteen crappie with eight nice keepers, fifteen to twenty
feet deep on minnows. Big fish of the day was a thirteen
and three-quarter inch white crappie. Enjoyed the day with you and hope your Nashville visit will continue to be
such fun you'll want to return.
4/23/2011 Percy Priest Today I fished with Kevin Fox of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
We caught forty-eight crappie despite the windy conditions.
We had eighteen nice keepers topped by a fourteen one-half
inch white crappie. They all were caught three to five
feet deep on minnows. Hope to see you on the lake soon
with nicer conditions.

We had cold front conditions but still managed to catch forty-eight crappie with thirteen nice keepers. Fish were caught four to thirteen feet deep on minnows. 4/19/2011 Percy Priest Today I fished with Rex and Emily Rich and daughter Layna of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. We faced very strong winds and cool water. We caught nineteen crappie with ten nice keepers. The fish were caught from three to twelve feet deep on minnows. Hope to see you soon when the weather is better.
4/13/2011 Percy Priest Today I fished with Ken and Kenneth Sliger of Smyrna,
Tennessee. We had great weather and a very nice stringer of thirty-nine keepers, out of sixty crappie. These fish
were caught three to five feet deep on minnows. Guys, I

4/12/2011 Percy Priest Today I fished with Hank and Mary Cook from North Carolina.
We faced very windy conditions, but still managed to catch one hundred fifteen crappie with twenty-five keepers. The
fish were caught three to six feet deep on minnows. Hank, I hope you enjoyed your present. Thanks again for that delicious fudge. You two are always welcome on my boat.
4/9/2011 Percy Priest Today I fished with Phil Saliba and his son-in-law, Justin
Tucker of Knoxville, Tennessee. It was the warmest day yet. The fish were caught on minnows and blades from five to sixteen feet deep. We had thirty-four crappie and kept twelve big ones. Justin and Phil, it was nice to fish with you. Hope to see you soon.

We had high winds of twenty to thirty miles per hour and storm front conditions. The fish were caught sixteen to twenty feet deep on minnows and blades. 3/28/2011 Percy Priest Today, I fished with Chris, Mason, and Mitchell Dominowski and cousin, Camden Marasco of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. We confronted cold front conditions with a steady northeast wind. Using minnows and blades at fourteen to eighteen feet deep, we caught twenty-four crappie with nine keepers. Camden had the big fish of the day at fourteen inches. Mason had a thirteen incher to mark getting one year older. Mitchell had an eleven inch crappie. I enjoyed fishing with you. 3/25/2011 Percy Priest Today, I fished with David & Martin West of Bethpage, Tennessee. We were met with cold front conditions, which
made for a slower bite. We still managed to catch forty crappie with fourteen nice keepers. We fished with minnows and blades six to eighteen feet deep. I look forward to taking you out the first weeks of April during
the spawn.
3/17/2011 Percy Priest Today, I fished with Christie and Phil Saliba of Nashville, Tennessee. It was 2011's warmest day yet here. We caught twenty-nine crappie with nine nice keepers. Christie caught her first blacknose crappie, twelve inches
long. The fish were caught on minnows and blades. We
fished from eight to twelve feet deep. Phil, I look forward to seeing you again in early April.
3/6/2011 Percy Priest Today I fished with Steve Clinkscale, "Coach Clink" of Toledo, Ohio. We caught sixty crappie with l8 nice keepers. The fish were caught four to seven feet deep on
minnow and blade rigs. The strong northeast winds made for
slow but steady fishing. Coach, I had a great time today. Hope to see you again later this spring.

10/28/2010 Percy Priest Today I fished with Phil Saliba of Nashville, Tennessee. We caught fifty-five crappies, mostly 9 to 9 1/2 inch throwbacks. The six keepers were caught seven to
twelve feet deep on minnows. The bite was noticeably slower than before the big cold front came through this
area. Phil, hope to see you in November to fish those deep
water, tree covered ledges.
10/23/2010 Percy Priest Today I fished with Ken and Kenneth Sliger of Smyrna, Tennessee. We had a nice half day trip. We had sixteen keepers with numerous throwbacks. The fish were caught three to thirteen feet deep on minnows. Guys, hope to see you soon for a black nose crappie trip to Normandy.
10/22/2010 Normandy Today I fished with Jerry Patterson and Bill Stidham from Nashville. We had a beautiful day for some black nose crappie. They caught sixteen keepers on minnows at six to twenty feet deep. The big fish of the day was about a pound and three quarters. Hope to see you back so we can go after the big one that got away and more.
10/8/2010 Normandy Today I fished with Mary and Allen Kennedy and Allen's brother Alvin. Mary and Allen are from Murfreesboro; Alvin is from Maryland. Today was a beautiful fall day. They caught twenty nice blacknose keepers weighing from over a pound up to almost two pounds. All were caught on minnows, nine to fifteen feet deep. We had an exciting fun day. Enjoy your fish fry!
10/4/2010 Normandy Today I fished with Lynn and Carson Reagin of Columbia, Tennessee. We had nice weather, but a steady northwest wind made for a slower bite than usual. We still caught sixteen nice black nose keepers; largest fish was about two pounds and the next largest was one and three four
ths pounds. We caught the fish on minnows ten to twenty-two feet deep. Lynn and Carson, I enjoyed fishing with
you today and learning about your interests.
9/10/2010 Percy Priest Today I fished with Herb Rhodes of Anaheim, California. He caught all three species of crappie. He
also had fun using some of the finesse tactics that are
used in California. It was his first time to use the multi-pole technique. Using minnows and jigs at a depth of ten to twenty feet, we had fifteen keepers out of a total of around forty. Herb, it was a fun day fishing in
Tennessee. Enjoy the rest of your stay here and the opening game of the NFL season.
9/1/2010 Normandy Today's trip started the fall blacknose crappie
season ar Normandy. I fished with my dad. We caught
35 blacknose and we kept 27. The two largest were two
pounds, one ounce and two pounds. They were caught on
minnows at nine to eighteen feet deep. Looks like this
is going to a great fall season. Book your trip today for
an exciting blacknose crappie trip!!
8/24/2010 Percy Priest Today had a nice fall feel to it. I fished with Phil Saliba and his friend Chris Franklin of Nashville. They caught
sixty fish with fifteen nice keepers. This was Chris' first
crappie trip. The fish were caught using minnows nine to thir-
teen feet deep. Thanks for a fun day! Hope to see you this fall for a black-nose crappie trip to Normandy.
8/9/2010 Percy Priest Today I had a fun day fishing with Marshall Brown and his
nephew Clark Hooks. They caught seventy-four fish with eighteen
nice keepers. Clark had the big fish with a fourteen inch white
crappie. The fish were caught eight to ten feet deep on minnows.

7/8/2010 Percy Priest Today I fished with Phil Saliba of Nashville, Tennessee. We started with a good early morning bite. The total
catch was eighty fish with twenty-four nice keepers. These were
caught between seven and ten feet down on minnows. The crappie were biting well, even with a surface temperature of ninety degrees. Phil, thanks for a fun day. I hope to see you again soon.
6/30/2010 Percy Priest Today I fished with Joy and Hugh McNaughten and grandson Ty
Campbell. Many of you enjoy watching Hugh and Joy on their
television show Southern Woods and Waters. We caught forty-five crappie with twenty nice keepers. Most fish were caught nine to ten feet deep on minnows. 6/14/2010 Percy Priest Today I fished with Christie and Phil Saliba of Nashville, Tennessee. We caught 69 fish with 24 nice keepers. For both it was a personal record as Phil had a 14 1/2 inch white crappie and
Christie caught a l4 inch white crappie. The surprise of the day happened as Phil landed a large mouth bass between 4 1/2 to
5 lbs. Hope to see you all soon. The summertime pattern is on at Priest. These fish were caught 6 - 12 feet deep on minnows.
5/10/2010 Percy Priest Today I had a good day fishing with Christie and Phil Saliba of Nashville, Tennessee. We caught sixteen fish with seven nice keepers. The fish were caught at eighteen to twenty-two feet deep, using minnows. Priest Lake is eleven feet above summer pool. We had very unusual cool conditions after this major
flood. Phil and Christie, I hope to see you again in June.
4/23/2010 Percy Priest Today I fished with Janice and Clint Watkins of Brentwood,
TN. We caught eleven fish with six nice keepers during this half day trip. Most were caught ten to thirteen feet deep on minnows. It was an extra nice Spring day on J. Percy Priest. I look forward to seeing you all this summer.

his long time fishing friend Roger Haack from Schaumburg,
Illinois. We caught 79 crappie with 40 nice keepers. All
were caught on minnows about three to nine feet deep. Gentlemen, thanks for a great trip. I hope to see you this
fall at Normandy for some black nose crappie fishing.
4/11/2010 Percy Priest Today I fished with Tony and Domingo Carletello of Pegram, TN, and their friend Michael. We caught 59 crappie with
25 nice keepers. These were all caught on minnows about
four to nine feet deep. Thanks again for a fun day. Hope

4/8/2010 Percy Priest Today I fished with Jim and Matt Anderson of Cookeville, TN. We started out with light rain, overcast skies, and high winds. We managed to catch 140 crappie with 60 keepers.
The fish were caught three to seven feet deep on minnows.

of the season.
4/6/2010 Percy Priest Today I fished with Chad and Dylan Williams of Thompson Station, TN. They wanted to make their spring break one to remember. This was the best day yet of the spring spawning season. We had a total of 156 crappie with 55 very nice
keepers. All fish were caught on minnows, three to seven

great trip with 74 crappie caught; 29 nice keepers. Big fish was 14 3/4" white crappie; all were caught on minnows three to six feet deep. Phil, I hope to see you later this spring.
3/27/2010 Percy Priest I fished today with Tim Buffone and Mike Boyer from
Pennsylvania. They caught 35 fish with 20 nice keepers. The fish were down 18 to 22 feet. Thanks guys for a fun day and watch those corks!

2/27/2010 Percy Priest Saturday I fished with Danny Cockarell from Lebanon,
TN. Using minnows, we caught around thirty crappie of
which fourteen were keepers. The fish were in 10 to
24 feet of water. Danny, thanks for a fun day on the
